William Beebe (American, b. 1956) oil painting on canvas of a sailboat in a seascape surrounding Curtis Island. Curtis Island is an island located in the exterior of Camden Harbor, in Camden, Maine. Signed and dated 1991 at lower right. Label from Bayview Gallery of Camden and Portland, ME on the reverse. Beebe has exhibited extensively throughout New England and the American South. His paintings are in major private and corporate collections in the United States and abroad. His Maine paintings have been featured in several publications including American Art Review and a book entitled The Art of Monhegan Island.
