Vintage nylon stitched sailfish "capture flag" mounted on a blue windowpane fabric. These trophy flags, more formally referred to as "capture flags", are flown on boats as colorful signals to let others know which fish were biting that day. It's a tradition born in the days before daily fishing reports began to appear in newspapers and on radio. Flag in vintage, gold wood frame measures 15.75" x 25.75". Flag has light patina. Frame and flag in good, vintage condition with light wear.
