Vintage 48 star American flag mounted on navy fabric. Sourced in coastal Maine, this flag was part of a patriotic bicycle display for Annin & Company. The 48 star flag was in use from July 4, 1912 - July 3, 1959. Flag in deep 19th century wood frame with gilded liner measures 11.75" x 14", and is under glass. Flag has great patina. Frame in very good, antique condition with light wear.
