Ruth Dawes Wilcox (American, 1908-1989) mid century American ship portrait oil painting on canvas. Wilcox was the daughter of artists Ray Wilcox and Ruth Turner Wilcox, fashion illustrator and fashion editor of Women's Wear Daily from 1910-1915. Artwork in contemporary gold wood frame measures 20.75" x 24.75". Unsigned. Artwork and frame in very good condition with one very small abrasion to the far left side of the canvas.
