Born in Pennsylvania in 1910, Baldwin studied at the Philadelphia College of Art, the National Art School in Washington, D.C., and the Instituto Politécnico and Allende in Mexico. Her varied career included work as a Navy artist and as an illustrator for Ford Magazine.
She later taught painting at Ohio University and exhibited widely in Mexico and throughout the United States, with shows ranging from Texas to the Corcoran Gallery in Washington, D.C., as well as numerous venues across Ohio.
