A gouache on paper painting of the Beaufort House by Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania artist Robert Stack. Robert earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Tyler School of Art in 1985 where he studied with the painters, Roger William Anliker (1924- ) and Charles Schmidt (1939-). The paintings of Edward Hopper, George Bellows, Maxfield Parrish, Rockwell Kent, and the Wyeths, inspire his composition, perspective, and lighting. Initialed lower right. Originally from the Chadds Ford Gallery. The Beaufort House is a charmer with its front porches, green roof and twirling weathervane. Artwork in frame measures 13" x 13". Painting is in excellent condition. Light gold wood bamboo frame is new.
