Robert Lee Finch (American, 1931-2024) portrait of a young brunette woman in a colorful interior. Signed upper right - partially obscured by framing. Artwork in contemporary gold frame measures 30.75" x 22.5". Artwork in very good vintage condition with light wear. Frame in very good condition.
Robert Finch, painter and print maker, "is a realist who focuses almost exclusively on the human form" whose career spans a few decades and his work shows it, that mastery, of time devoted to a passion. He has exhibited primarily on the East Coast with one man shows at the Kling Art Gallery, Langman Gallery, and 20th Century Gallery among others. He has participated in many group shows and his work is in numerous private and public collections. After receiving a BFA in Fine Arts from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Robert taught in the art departments of PAFA, Harcum Junior College, The Main Line Art Center and Haverford School. He was the chairman of Fine Arts at Haverford for many years.
