Very well done antique portrait painted on glass of "Prince Carolus", most likely this refers to Archduke Charles Louis John Joseph Lawrence of Austria, Duke of Teschen. The colors of red and white representing the colors of Austria; the sash he's wearing is the Military Order of Maria Theresa (Queen of Austria and mother of Marie-Antoinette). The badge on his chest is the Order of the Golden Fleece (Austrian). Artwork in 19th century wood frame with gilded inner measures 11.5" x 9". Will come with a wire for hanging. Artwork and frame in good, antique condition with scattered allover wear.
