A beautifully composed 1947 still life oil painting on board of ancient Greek pottery and marble statue by Jean Sauvignier (French, 20th century). Signed at dated 1947 at top right, and signed and titled Nature Morte on the reverse. Jean lived and painted in Noisy le Sec near Paris for most of the 20th century. Artwork in original, washed wood, deep cove frame measures 24.75" x 21.5". Artwork and frame in good, vintage condition with scattered age appropriate wear.
