A brilliant oil on canvas by Florence Prince Ewing (American, 1898-1965) of vibrant American mountain and river landscape. Full of life. Signed lower right, and on the reverse. A note on the back reads "Property of Bradley Ewing." Artwork in gold, solid wood frame measures 31" x 36.75". Artwork and frame in very good condition with light wear.
Noted 20th century Philadelphia artist, Florence Prince Ewing, graduated from the Philadelphia School of Design (Moore College of Art), and exhibited at institutions including the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, National Gallery in Washington, D.C. and the Woodmere Art Museum. Ewing was one of the original founders and a director of the Manyunk Art Center and active in the Plastic Club of Philadelphia.
