Edmund Jordan (American / Pennsylvania, 20th century) colorful impressionist watercolor painting depicting St. Mary by the Sea, the nuns' retreat house in Cape May, NJ. Signed lower right. Dated 1990. Jordan was a master of light and water, as is evident in this piece. Jordan favored the East Coast, painting from Cape May, NJ up through Cape Cod and the shores of Maine.
