Edith Pedlow (American, 1896-1945) still life oil on canvas painting of a brilliant, cobalt blue chinoiserie vase holding berries and branches next to a gold or brass bowl spilling over with green grapes and an apple. Signed and dated 1941 lower right. Artwork in frame measures 19.75" x 17.5". Painting is in good, vintage condition with craquelure and some small discolorations. The original gilded, solid wood frame has losses - most notably at each of the corners. Please see photos. I hesitate to replace the frame as this one, despite its wear, still displays beautifully, and is a perfect match to the piece.
