Blanche Rothschild (American / New York, 1893-1988) oil painting on canvas portrait of a young girl in a flowered sun hat. Blanche Rothschild was a noted New York painter and fashion illustrator. Among her commissions was McCall's Magazine. Works by Rothschild are in the permanent collection of the Museum of Women Artists in Washington, D.C.. Signed lower left. Inscribed 'Maria' and 251 West 74 St NY 23 on the reverse. Artwork in beautiful, massive warm gold wood carved frame measures 27.5" x 23.5". Artwork in very good condition with a few minor spots of loss to the background area. Contemporary frame is in very good condition.
