Andrea Hennings (American / German, 21st century) canvas portrait of a horse. Initialed lower right. Titled Velvet. Artwork in wood floater frame measures 21.25" x 21.25". Artwork and frame in very good condition. Coordinating pieces available in separate listings.
Andrea was born in Koblenz, Germany and resides in Greensboro, NC. Drawing and painting has been her passion since early childhood. Animals – especially horses – were the favorite subjects of her drawings and still are to this day.
Mostly self-taught, Hennings is inspired by her artistically talented father, which helped her develop her realistic style. Hennings carries a camera with her whenever outside as the right opportunity might present itself in situations least expected. Often using her own reference photos to retain the subject’s individuality, but include her personal impression. Although she loves all creatures great and small, Andrea’s heart belongs to the horse.
