Very old, likely antique 48 star American flag mounted on white duck cloth. The 48 star flag was in use from July 4, 1912 - July 3, 1959. Flag in 19th century ornate gilded frame measures 19" x 24", and is under wavy glass. Flag has great patina. Frame in very good, antique condition with light wear.
