19th century oil painting on canvas of a classic scene - a sailboat cruising at full speed under blue skies, smaller boats trailing in the distance. Signed lower right. The painting is mounted in its original, deep, impressive gold frame. Artwork in frame measures 15" x 18.5." The artwork is in good condition for its age with some craquelure. The frame has overall wear including gesso chips and touch ups, but still displays beautifully.
