A 1938 watercolor painting of a by Boston artist Ernest Edwin Anthony (American, 1894-1941) of a large country estate and its outbuildings under a blanket of snow. Signed "E.E. Anthony" and dated 1938 at lower right. Artwork in gold custom frame measures 22.5" x 26.25". Artwork and frame in very good condition with light wear. There is one small (pinpoint sized) mark to the matting at lower left.
Anthony was a graduate of RISD (Rhode Island School of Design), a native of Providence, RI and, later, a resident of Boston.
